When Jes decided to start IF, her initial goal was to lose the 20 pounds she gained due to stress. But she quickly realized weight loss is not the only benefit of fasting. Jes has already lost more than 10 pounds thanks to fasting — and she did it in less than a month.
🍏 Eating Habits
Jes follows the 16:8 protocol: She skips breakfast and doesn’t eat until about 2 pm. She found out that it works well for her to stick to two meals instead of three plus snacks.
Switching from calorie-based programs to IF, Jes realized that she doesn’t need to feel shame if she goes over her calorie budget. She just moves her eating window.
Unexpectedly, Jes noticed that her energy naturally skyrocketed. Being a big energy drink fan, she happily reported that she hasn’t had one since she started IF. Also, she doesn’t have as many mood swings.
